About Nahar Spinning Mills Limited
Nahar Spinning Mills Limited, part of the Oswal Woollen Mills / Nahar Group of Companies, began as a small worsted spinning and hosiery unit in Ludhiana, incorporated as a Private Limited company in December 1980 and becoming a Public Limited Company in 1983. The company diversified into spinning in 1992, setting up plants at Mandideep (Bhopal district), Jalalpur (S.A.S. Nagar), Jodhan (Ludhiana) and Jitwal Kalan (Sangrur), Punjab.
Today, Nahar Spinning has a spindlage capacity of approximately 5.74 lakh spindles and 1,080 rotors, plus 768 airjet spindles, making it the second largest cotton yarn manufacturer in India. The company also operates an ultra-modern hosiery garment facility producing 12.5 million pieces annually, with T-shirts exported to brands including GAP, Arrow, Old Navy, Banana Republic and Chaps.
Over 60% of Nahar’s products are aimed at export markets across the USA, UK, France, Brazil, Bangladesh, Mauritius, Honduras, Argentina, Colombia, Peru, Chile, Netherlands, Japan, Canada, Korea, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Singapore, Egypt and Russia. The company is ISO 9002 certified and has won multiple TEXPROCIL Gold Trophies for export performance in cotton and processed yarn, alongside a National Export Trophy from the Apparel Export Promotion Council.
