Thangavelu Textile Mills Pvt. Ltd. was started in 1994 with 8,750 spindles by Shri P. Thangavelu, a reputed yarn merchant in Salem and across Tamil Nadu. Under the guidance of his enterprising son Mr. T. Senthilnathan, the company expanded over 24 years to a current spindle capacity of 13,880, becoming a major industrial group in Dharmapuri district.

The company manufactures 100% Sewing Thread Quality yarn from Reliance Industries’ top-grade polyester staple fibre, a product line it has produced since 2001, supplying various leading dyed sewing thread manufacturers. Thangavelu Textile Mills sources directly from Reliance Industries Ltd, maintaining long-standing supplier relationships that support its strategic fibre sourcing.

Led by Managing Director Mr. P. Thangavelu and Director Mr. T. Senthilnathan, alongside board members S. Umamaheswari and T.S. Guhanayyappan, the company is known for state-of-the-art machinery, MIS-driven operational efficiency, and a workforce with more than two decades of tenure that has never experienced labour unrest.
