About Kandagiri Spinning Mills Limited
Kandagiri Spinning Mills Limited (KSML), incorporated on 5 May 1976 and originally named The Ammapet Sizing Mills Private Limited, is a publicly listed company (Bombay Stock Exchange) based in Salem, Tamil Nadu, with roots going back over four decades in the cotton yarn business. The company commenced production in 1979 with 3,260 spindles and grew into a major industrial concern with three spinning units.
Please note that due to challenges from fluctuating cotton prices, Kandagiri Spinning Mills sold its Wind Energy Generators and spinning units (Unit-II, III and Plant & Machinery of Unit-I) in 2017 and 2020. The company has since transitioned to carrying out yarn trading business from its Unit-I premises at Udayapatti, Salem, rather than direct cotton yarn manufacturing.
Following a Share Purchase Agreement executed in February 2025, Akshayam Creations LLP acquired a majority stake in the company and completed an open offer for public shareholders in May 2025, with new management now leading Kandagiri Spinning Mills Limited.
