Precot Limited is a 60-year vertically integrated spinning mill in India, headquartered in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, founded by Mr. V.N. Ramachandran and Mr. N. Damotharan. Starting production in 1962 with an initial capacity of 12,096 spindles at its first cotton mill in Kanjikode, Kerala, Precot has grown into one of the largest cotton mills in Asia with 188,112 spindles across units in Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka.

The company manufactures products across two broad categories: Yarns & Threads for textile production, weaving, knitting, sewing and crocheting, and Health & Hygiene care products used in cosmetic, personal hygiene and medical applications. Precot’s cotton products contain zero residual chemicals, zero toxins, and are Totally Chlorine Free (TCF), adhering to REACH guidelines and international pharmacopoeia limits.

Precot operates 4 spinning units and 2 dyeing units across the four southern states of India, using SAP ERP for seamless coordination across purchase, inventory, planning, quality, maintenance, finance, sales and distribution. The company’s three-dimensional approach focuses on Quality, Value and Delivery, serving preferred private label partnerships with leading international retailers, distributors and brands.
