Bharni Cotton Mills

Bharni Cotton Mills is a yarn manufacturing company located in Kannampalayam, Sulur, Coimbatore, known as the Manchester of South India. Founded by Mr. P. Vaiyapuri Gounder, a farmer and cotton trader with more than 50 years of experience, the company started in 1989 with 1,500 spindles and was later converted into a partnership firm under its current name in 2004.

The company manufactures different types of 100% quality yarn including Combed Yarn, Semi-Combed Yarn, Carded Yarn and Slub Yarn, sourcing the finest quality raw cotton from various states of India. Bharni Cotton Mills operates with approximately 6,520 ring spindles, and its mill is equipped with technically advanced machinery.

The company is managed by Mr. V. Velusamy as Managing Director, with partners including Mr. V. Sounder and Mrs. K. Saranya, both B.Tech graduates in Textile Technology with hands-on industry experience. Bharni Cotton Mills is also involved in Women Welfare and Development initiatives as part of its community engagement.
