Operations began in 2006, promoted by founder Shri T.V. Seshagiri Rao and Managing Director Sri D. The company manufactures 100% combed compact cotton yarn in counts from NE 40/1 to NE 80/1, including SLP Premium and Gold Quality 100% Indian Cotton Yarn, 100% BCI Cotton Yarn, Organic Cotton Yarns (GOTS & OCS certified by Control Union), Indian and Giza Blends, 100% Giza Yarns, Compact Slub Yarns, Supima Yarns, and 100% Contamination Free Yarns, with flexibility to customise products to buyer needs.

SLP operates a total capacity of 47,520 spindles across three progressively modernised production lines (2006-07, 2011-12, 2016-17), using machinery from LMW, Truetzschler, Rieter, Zinser, KTTM with Suessen Compact, and Schlafhorst autoconers. The company holds ISO 9001-2008 certification from TUV SUD South-Asian Private Limited.
