Kasim Textile Mills Private Limited ventured into the textile industry in 1991 with a small unit at Puliyankulam, Madurai, Tamil Nadu, and has since risen to prominence as a leading manufacturer and exporter of greige/grey woven fabric and sustainable regenerated 100% vortex ring-spun compact micro modal yarn. The company is led by Managing Director Mr. A. Shahul Hameed and Joint Managing Director Mr. Mohamed Sheik, with a steadfast commitment to uncompromising quality and on-time delivery.

With more than three decades in grey woven fabric manufacturing, Kasim holds a niche in weaving 100% cotton grey fabric, 100% organic fabric (GOTS-compliant), BCI cotton, 100% viscose fabric, 100% micro modal and blended varieties. Grey fabrics are available in widths from 48” to 105” with weaving designs spanning poplin, plain, percale, twill, drill, satin, stripe satin, oxford and herringbone.

In July 2023, Kasim commenced its own spinning unit at Varalotti Village, Kariapatti Taluk, Virudhunagar, enabling backward integration. The unit supplies high-quality vortex, viscose and micro modal yarns made with regenerated cellulosic sustainable fibres, including Tencel and bamboo yarns with traceability.

Kasim’s sustainability credentials include two windmills at Udumalpet and Tirunelveli (combined 1.85 MW), a 3 MW solar captive plant commissioned in 2018, and certifications including OEKO-TEX, GOTS, OCS and GRS — making it a trusted partner for sustainable grey fabrics and yarns from South Tamil Nadu.
