Maris Spinners Limited, situated in Hunsur Taluk, Mysore District, Karnataka, started commercial production on 9 March 1981 with an installed spindlage of 11,856. The company became a Deemed Public company in 1994 and a Public Limited Company in 1995, the same year its second unit with 14,112 spindles was commissioned at Manaparai Taluk, Tiruchirappalli District, Tamil Nadu.
Both units have undergone regular modernization and expansion over the decades. The present capacity at the Hunsur (Mysore) unit stands at 28,704 spindles, while the Manaparai (Trichy) unit operates 17,472 spindles, together forming a well-managed, dual-state spinning operation.
The Maris group also has diversified business interests spanning Tea Estates, Hotels and Green Power Generation. The company is well managed by directors at the board level, with each unit overseen by qualified and experienced managerial teams under the guidance of the Board of Directors.
