Sri Kannapiran Mills Limited, an ISO 9001:2015 certified company, is part of the US$ 250 million KG Group, enriched by more than 80 years of experience in the textile industry. Started in 1932 as a cotton trading venture, the group has grown into a totally integrated textile conglomerate covering ginning, spinning, denim manufacturing, terry products, blankets, safety knitted cotton gloves, weaving and ready-made garments.

The mill’s special focus areas include gassed mercerised yarn (100% cotton dyed yarns from Ne 8/2 to Ne 80/2 in grey, gassed, mercerised and bleached varieties with a 30-ton per month capacity), Indigo Dyed Yarns (100,000 kg per month capacity, counts 6s to 60s for shirtings, bottoms and children’s garments), Belcoro Knitting Yarns for superior fabric stability, and Bamboo Yarns with natural anti-bacterial properties.

Sri Kannapiran Mills uses 100% imported dyeing machinery with computerized colour matching, supported by dyes and chemicals from Ciba, Clariant and CHT, backed by a competent technical team and R&D capabilities. The group’s other divisions include KG Fabriks (denim) and Safetymart (cotton gloves).
