Sutlej Textiles and Industries Limited (STIL) is a Mumbai-headquartered, Birla-promoted textile major and one of India’s largest producers and exporters of value-added synthetic, blended-dyed and cotton mélange yarn. Promoted by the late Dr. Krishna Kumar Birla, the company has grown into a one-stop yarn and home textile manufacturer with a global clientele spanning 65 countries, serving marquee brands across apparel, home furnishing and technical textile segments.

Products: Sutlej’s yarn division is a leading manufacturer of value-added synthetic and blended dyed spun yarn, cotton blended dyed yarn, and mélange yarn used in knitting, weaving and home textile applications. The Home Textiles vertical produces a wide range of innovative bed linen, furnishing fabrics and made-ups, while the Green Fibre division converts recycled PET into sustainable polyester staple fibre, addressing plastic-waste reduction in the textile value chain.

Infrastructure: The company operates modern, integrated manufacturing facilities equipped with European spinning, dyeing and finishing machinery, supported by dedicated Yarn Development Centres (YDC) that rapidly develop new yarn varieties, test fibre performance and run miniature production trials for demanding global clients.

Export: Sutlej Textiles is one of India’s largest exporters of value-added dyed spun yarn, with an established presence across 65 countries including the USA, UK, Germany, Italy, UAE, China, Japan and several African and Latin American markets, backed by a dedicated American Silk Mills furnishing design arm in the US.
